In line with the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project to develop historical mosques, the Saudi Press Agency has announced that Al-Saidan Mosque in Dumat Al-Jandal at Al-Jouf region will be included in the renovation plan.
The renovation process will be focusing on raising the mosque’s capacity to host more people, by increasing its area from 179 square meters to 202.39 square meters.
While developing the mosque, its mud structure will be preserved to suit the traditional style of the surrounding region.
It’s notable that the mosque is considered one of the Kingdom’s unique oldest landmarks which used to host Friday prayers.
The Crown Prince’s renovation plan includes mosques in different regions like: Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, Asir, Al-Jouf, Jazan, Tabuk, Al-Baha, Najran, Hail, and Al-Qassim.
