“With Frugality, It lasts”.. Saudi Awareness Campaign During Ramadan

In Line with its goal to preserve the national food wealth, The National Program to Reduce Food Loss and Waste launched an awareness campaign entitled “With Frugality, It lasts”, to encourage people to be more frugal in food throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
All society, government agencies, the private sector, and associations responded forcefully to the campaign, which lasts to the end of Ramadan.
According to statistics, KSA recorded nearly 33% Food waste, worth around SR40 billion per year.
Also, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia were the top Arab countries in terms of the highest family monthly food expenditure.
