L’Oréal is still proving that science has the power to create a better world, as it announced a new investment in cooperation with Geno, a biotechnology company, to develop new sustainable products’ ingredients derived from living organisms that will feature a leap in beauty industry.
The investment promotes Green Sciences and will be made through L’Oréal’s corporate venture fund, BOLD, to replace traditional ingredients with bio-based ones.
In line with L’Oréal 2030 commitments, this new step will help in getting 100% eco-designed formulas and ingredients derived from renewable or abundant sources besides reducing the environmental footprint of the beauty industry.
It’s worth mentioning that L’Oréal, was the world’s leading beauty player for over 110 years. It has 20 research centers across 11 countries around the world and a dedicated research and innovation team of over 4,000 scientists and 3,000 tech professionals.
The company mainly aspire to invent the future of beauty and becoming a beauty tech powerhouse.
