Today 20th of March, the world is celebrating one of the most delightful occasions first set by United Nations in 2013- the International Day of Happiness.
This reflects the significance of feeling happy, relaxed and being thankful as an incentive to move forward in life at all levels.
The really incredible thing about feeling happy is that it’s controlled by the percentage of hormones, vitamins and elements inside our bodies, which help us to control our moods and to be glad whenever we want, according to nutrition consultants.
Nutrition Facts
High protein food like chicken, meat, liver besides some fruits and vegetables like banana, pineapple, kiwi, carrot, spinach are rich in serotonin hormone, known as the happiness hormone.
Omega-3 existing in eggs, tuna and salmon acting as a natural antidepressants for adults and kids.
Some boiled herbs like chamomile, anise and mint help in relaxation and sleeping well.
Dark chocolate and nuts can either help in cooling temper.
However it should be eaten in small amounts in order to avoid gaining much weight.
The above mentioned food elements not only boost happiness but also have an indirect effect on the overall physical health, as people who are psychologically comfortable don’t grapple with digestive system problems, high pressure, diabetes besides having good immunity.
